WHO IS IT FOR? This is a workshop for the everyday camera owner who would like to learn how to take pleasing and professional looking portraits of their own families and friends.

It is a workshop for any type of camera whether you have a pocket compact digital camera, a bridge camera or an SLR.

It is not primarily for 'would be' or training professional photographers but it would certainly be instrumental for anyone in that place.

WHAT IS INCLUDED? Basically what would be covered is:

  • How to take great portraits indoors without a flash using window light.
  • How to take great portraits indoors with a flash using techniques rather than expensive equipment.
  • How to take great portraits outdoors with and without a flash.
  • Some camera techniques that you would need to know.
  • Some basic knowledge of light and its effects in photography.

WHEN AND WHERE?

These workshop are currently held at Macdonagh Junction, Kilkenny on occasional prescheduled Saturdays throughout Spring and Summer.

 It will start at 9.30am for registration and will finish at 4pm.

There will be one hour for lunch.

HOW MUCH?

The workshop is limited to 12 participants.

The workshop costs €30. It can be paid by cash or cheque on the day but participants must have pre booked by phone or prepaid online.
